umm i think thats that new machine they use to lay roads for cars that have flat tyres :-P

Ummm it actually drives from right to left as pictured. Think about what the driver would have to look past if it went the other way. Also look at the angle on the exhaust (6in ?? :P).
As for the use, I guess it's used for the intial compaction of some sort of clay fill. I imagine it would be followed up by a "porcupine" roller. The one that looks the same but with the 100mm diameter spikes on the roller. Any budding engineers/construction workers who can shed light on this? |
