Engine noise/problem

Ok so i was driving the micra today and i noticed whenever i slowed down it was majing a weird noise, it almost sounds like it has an exhaust brake but when i checked the exhaust for holes, nothing. Then i popped the bonnet and gava it a little rev and the noise came back it only makes the noise when the rpm are dropping back down to idle. Im clueless as to what it is! If anyone could help it would be GRATELY appreciated!

that does sound like a loose manifold....

have you noticed any power loss or bad economy?


where is the noise coming from?

Try and get a vid/sound clip of the noise. Is it a cackling/raspy sound? or what

It hasnt really had any noticeable loss of power and yea it does sound like a crackling/raspy sound and the noise is coming from around the belt/pully area. Oh and na it dosnt tick under load...
