My Micra is Crying... |
Fri 16 May 2014 04:35:17 PM |
...precious coolant, about 1 drip a second! Pretty sure the water pump and water pump sealant has packed it in, probably due to my wild driving and old cracked engine mounts.
Doesn't help that the pump is as old as the engine, doing approx 350k kms... Going to change it tomorrow morning. Will post pictures of the fan blades once I take it off. They'll probably be swiss cheese, if theres any blades left :D I'm only 99% sure that it's the pump itself leaking as that is what it's dripping off of, but it could be the steal pipe wrapping around the engine, I'll know more tomorrow when I look :/ |

Didn't think about it actually. Already had a new pump to put on, which was for the project Micra - Don't think I'll need an electric pump.
Sure hope I don't anyways... |

Was the water pump. The lower bleed valve (pen sized hole) was leaking non stop. Changed to new pump and new non-cracked pump belt has fixed and improved the sound from the daily machine.
