gearbox rebuilt |
Tue 10 Dec 2013 04:05:15 PM |
I put a gearbox into powershift transmissions and they're done rebuilding it for me. Initial quote was est 600-800. Final quote was 1250! Picking it up this arvo and will be sure to see why it cost so much more than expected. Will update later..

was charged 600 labor, around 650 for parts...
Which only included all synchro, bearings, seals, 'gaskets' (is there a gasket between the housing and the diff case?), and an 'inspection' of the hard parts. Yet another moment in my life I wish I'd done it myself. Wouldn't have been two hard. I have a spare gearbox here in case I break this rebuilt one. Man for that price I'd have liked to get 1st n' 2nd gear replaced as well. I reckon I got done for at least 300 more than it should've cost. Never again :/ |

Liquid gasket only.
Getting mine rebuilt was a lot less, but I had no synchros replaced, but new diff and cwp installed. |
