Poor starting |
Sun 08 Dec 2013 08:09:53 AM |
The only two times I have had a problem with poor running on start up from cold with my micra are when the previous day I have run the car for short time and then switched it off before the engine has come off choke. Then the following days cold start it displays the symptom of it being flooded or over fuelled even though it has stood all night. Believe it or not this is the first car I have owned that has not had a manual choke. The car always starts but I know this can not be right surely. I never depress the accelerator pedal during any start up hot or cold. I have given it three services in the time I have owned it because I have done a lot of miles. The last service I changed the rotor arm and cap but the problem still happens. Any ideas thanks Ron.

the coolant sensor was renowned for causing flooding ron, nissan used to sell a piggyback loom to cure it.
mine has 2 coolant sensors wire in parallel for the same effect |

Thanks again Frank for the help. Will visit the local Nissan dealers I think and buy a new sensor to begin with then a Haynes manual.
