Introduction

Greetings to all,
Hi Guys/girls new to the club,I have just purchased our 1st micra she's a green 95 3 door,and the problems start...
firstly yes sad door handles/overflow bottle/paint and she leaks like a fishtank with flyscreens!!

Will remove the front wipers and have a look at those tab things when the rain stops,also leaking from the tail lights.
Other than these problem she drives great.
Will let you know how I go,and post some pics asap.

Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear you're having troubles with your first Micra. Once you get that sorted hopefully it'll be more reliable for you. The door handles and overflow bottle are known for being brittle so that's not so surprising but hopefully you can find replacements readily. eBay can be useful for items like that. I did find a left and right handle on eBay, but they're not particularly cheap. If you've got wrecking yards local to you, you could be lucky if you can find one there, but Taree is pretty isolated :P

Your right Isolated and very very wet at the moment,
Got the front leak sorted (I hope) sealant around lower edge and tabs of windshield,adjusted rear boot catch,repaired shifter return spring,purchased replacement passenger front guard due to bad rust in the bottom edge.Also started removing the flaky clear coat from the bonnet.
Will order a replacement radiator overflow bottle(stainless/alloy perhaps) and door handles next pay!

She also may be in for a spray job will see how i'm doing for funds once other issues are sorted...

hey ninpo your little micra has the same problems as mine exept the handles it leaks like you wouldnt believe and my quater panel on passenger side is rusted at the bottom haha there a great car to drive tho and wouldnt have anything els. Hope you dont have any more trouble and all goes well.

When you do get new handles buy some bumpers trim paint from repco/super cheap and paint them.

Gives them a nice black finish and protects them from sun damage

Was thinking of getting the handles reinforced then chromed along with the mirrors,and a new black paint job!
To match my ladies E50 Elgrande.

Isn't she lovley! lol.
