Hub Diameter and MX5 alloys

Sun 27 Nov 2005 07:13:01 PM
Been looking around at OEM options to fit my SuperS. Here is a page with some 15x6 4*100PCD +38 mx5 alloys:

http://www.miata.net/faq/images/99-15.jpg

BUT i've been told they won't fit due to the hole in the centre of them not fitting over a micra hub and needing machining out. Is this right? if so, where do i got to get them machined out,

thanks all,

Alex

Hi Alex,

This company on the GC would probably be able to help with increasing the centre bore to fit.

http://www.depuluwheels.com/

Autospeed did an article on fitting factory wheels from other cars featuring this company a few years ago... The guy needed a spacer to go between the hub and the centre hole on the rim. This company made these up for him. I am afraid I can't find the article now !.

It's much easier for them to remove metal than to make up some sort of spacer for a wheel with a centre hole that's too big.

MX5 wheels would look cool !.

appreciate the link Makes, will check those lads out.

http://www.miata.net/faq/wheel_weights.html

aaron this page is very helpful in choosing mazda alloys and finding other lightweight wheels, had my heart set on these for months now :( and now i think its kaput cause it will cost too much too pay for them to be bored out, but will check it out reguardless,
