Thu 29 Nov 2012 06:26:13 PM |
Of late cruising from Carlingford- Liverpool ive seen a large number of K11's....
Would there be any interest if i made a group on fb to keep the K11 group together for meets and events? |

I understand but the site isn't very active and everybody looks at Fb. Remember a few weeks ago there was a thread to sell the site...

Imo anyone who is an enthusiast already knows about this site. To all the people you see driving micras, they are just cheap transport.

Supersk11 WROTE: Would there be any interest if I made a group on fb to keep the K11 group together for meets and events?" I cant see any harm in it, I personally don't use fb but then I'm of "that age" lol. Like has already been mentioned a lot more Micras you see these days are just people using them as a cheap set of wheels. But as the old saying goes "nothing ventured, nothing gained", give it a go and see what comes of it. |

I keep seeing modified ones around! And cruised together in traffic. Just thought with this forum it doesn't notify you of messages, or pm's etc so though a fb group is a way to get out and see ppl. Seen this work well with friends with their Mira... Great group!
I will make a Nissan Micra group, all are welcome... |

Here you go. Set it up, and its all groovy. Doom/NSM/Jon/Mipcar and any other admins/mods can PM me or whatnot to make them admins on the facebook group too. It's all linked to this site and whatnot so yeah, not trying to claim it as anything else :D cool beans :D |

I already pm an admin asking for permissions before making a group they don't approve of.

I can see why they don't approve! NSM works hard and lays for this site to be running then a bunch of new freeloader members are
Going to take there website to Facebook, and pay nothing! This forum is where it's at for all things k11 micra! Don't like it, I dear you to try find the same info anywhere else without going to a mechanic! Some people are that rude! This website has been going since Cisco made it in 1999 (for memory) and people want to go expand it to another site! I say f#^k all those people off! Rant over |

It's not meant to detract away from this site. Like I said its all linked to here. If it really is a problem, I'm more than happy to delete the page.
It could just be cool, especially for the younger people of the forum where Facebook is an active form of socialising... Just my 2 cents. Anywho, as I said. If the majority of people are against it, I will take it down, no worries. |

Don't see why everything has to be on Facebook? why not just get on the forum?
If the admins don't approve then why would you even consider it? |

Everything is becoming Facebook this Facebook that, don't get me wrong I use it for the car group I'm in but I don't see why a site that is going so well with the 4000members needs to be taking to Facebook? You look at the likes of JDMST, and a few other forums like that, they have a page but they upload stuff from events nothing to do with the forum it's self

I don't see how it can be a bad thing, I'm not the biggest fan of facebook but anything that promotes interaction between like minded individuals with a common interest can't be a bad thing, can it?. No facebook page/group will ever substitute for this forum/website.

I contacted an admin to make the group with this name. It was to never detract from this location at all.
I know alot of people use facebook and its a huge way to get more interaction. Since this has become a negative idea we will forget i mentioned it. |

Yeah I think its turned out to be ill received. I'll delete the page later tonight. It's a shame though, coz although this site has many things to offer, there always room for expansion and betterment.
