Fuel leak When Tank is Full

Sat 11 Aug 2012 10:20:06 AM
ok so i have a major leak when the tank is full, & doom pointed out to me it could be the return hose.

im going to remove the fuel tank once its empty just to check, may as well have it cleaned & pressure tested,

has anyone changed there hoses to braided to prolong the life of them?
and what diameter is the line

Mine was leaking when it was full, I called the RAA and they came and replaced the line for me as it was a hazard :)

Mine used to do that, but after i had removed the tank and filler then refitted it later on. (this was part of the build, wasnt done just for the hell of it lol), the problem has seemed to go away.

I can only assume it was the vent hose that had something up with it, maybe excessively pinched at the bend to the tank. That hose is still squished now, just maybe not as much?.

Never looked into it any further so havent tested the theory, all i can say is maybe have a look at it. Apart from refitting the hoses nothing else was changed / done. :)
