1996 MICRA SLX TURBO CONVERSION |

Ok so I'm new to the forum guys and heres my story...
About 3 months ago I bought a little SLX micra in Forest green for a run around car/ daily driver ($1500) and I have always wanted to have a turbo car but not spend too much money. My mate was throwing away his 300ZX T22's so i grabbed them off him and thought I may just put one of these on my little micra. Now I am wondering if you guys could give me a hand letting me know what i would need to complete the conversion successfully and make it reliable as it is my every day car... So far parts I have figured out that I need are: -T22 Turbo -Manifold (custom or bought off the forum) -Dump Pipe -Side Mount Intercooler and pipe work -Exhaust -Oil Return -Oil Pressure Gauge -Boost Gauge -Tachometer -Boost Controller -Heavy Duty Clutch Also instead of putting a boost controller would it be safe to just run it on minimum boost say 9psi? Could I run the standard computer and just wind back the timing on the distributor? |

mine,s a daily, running the stock ecu and 5 deg spark retard, you need to add a LOT of extra fuel @ boost tho

M1.CA.96 WROTE: "so you're running no cooler right? do you have a big power difference? also i would need to tune my computer right?" no intercooler, and about 2 x the grunt from 2 to 4 k rpm, and my computer is unchanged but the fueling was increased mechanically (modded reg, bigger injectors, and 5th injector) |

Is there a way of doing it so you don't need a fifth injector?
