micra turbo running lean |
Mon 23 May 2011 07:03:58 PM |
hello i cant seem to sort this problem out(ihave had this problem for a very long time thats the reason ive kept it off the road but want to get it back on). Basically the car runs at around 14.7 until it warms up, the longer the car stays on the leaner it gets and it reaches to 21 on the afr if the car is left on long enough, this is at idle.
Things ive done so far if changed the fuelpump to a walbro and ive got a modified fuel rail with 370cc injectors and i also puchased an installed a new fuel pressure regulator. Need help thanks |

I dont think its fuel related mate, if its not lean on warm up I would be looking at airflow. AFM specifically.

The car runs rich when started but as it warms it starts getting leaner and leaner also when I hold the rev at 1000,2000,3000,4000 afr shows between 17 and 18

Is this on a gauge or a dyno?

sikK11 WROTE: "Is this on a gauge or a dyno? " Perhaps a better question is was this with a wideband or not? and was the engine under load when measuring a/fr at revs? Try tuning the ecu? NIStune costs fk all and will allow you to play with mixtures and cold starts etc all you want. FWIW my sr20det was running ~25:1 at idle and fk all when free revved, no problems apart from struggling to keep it running below 60deg water temp (no cold idle enrichment). $300 NIStune board and $250 dyno time and it's all looking pretty. |

hello yes im using a wideband, when i hit the rev its okay for that second but leans up straight away.
I have got the emanage blue installed in my car |

Than it would most likely be a tuning problem or a faulty sensor. There is no way that running 370cc injectors and a walbro pump and aftermarket pressure reg that it would be lean unless tue tuning is wrong or the computer is wired in wrong. I had 270cc injectors and stock fuel pump and stock pressure reg at 6psi it was fine. Take it to a shop and get it looked at.

Oh another question is how much boost you running. Is it lean with load or just free revving?

well at this current situation ive kept the psi at 0, Its lean at idle also when i rev it its lean not when i hit the rev but if i hold it there it goes lean. When driving its not as bad but soon as i come to a stop the car cuts out.
Boost set to 0 psi Fuel Pressure 40psi |

You
Can't have a turbo set to zero mate unless you have the waste gate all the way open. It sounds like you have done something very wrongZ I would take it to the shop. |

i know you cant have it 100% zero but ive turned it down on the manual boost controller
