Wed 07 Jul 2010 11:31:04 AM |
The Nissan Juke features a turbo 1.6 with direct injection and generates 140kW/240Nm. The MR16DDT motor uses the MR block which has up til now been used for 1.8L & 2L motors.
It has been speculated that this engine may also be fitted to the new Micra. http://www.nissan.co.nz/insidenissan/index.php?mode=article&articleid=oqas http://www.carsales.com.au/news/2010/small-4x4/nissan/2010-nissan-juke-18273 http://www.egmcartech.com/2010/02/10/2010-geneva-preview-2011-nissan-juke-unveiled-coming-to-u-s-this-fall/ |

Three engines will be available with the Juke in Europe from launch – and also provide a pointer to the available powertrains for the new Micra – with the headline act being a new 140kW/240Nm 1.6i ‘MR16DDT’ direct-injection turbo-petrol. The Euro 5-compliant 1.6 turbo combines with a six-speed manual or a new M6 XTronic CVT with manual shift control – the latter combination being the sole to offer 4WD at launch. |
