GA16DE injectors, T/B and ECU on CG10 |
Wed 19 May 2010 09:38:51 AM |
Hi!
I've searched these forums up and down, and I can't find a definitive answer on this: Will my CG10DE 2001 Nissan Micra run better or at all using: GA16DE injectors, GA16DE Throttle body and a GA16DE ECU? All these parts will be taken from a Nissan Primera P10. Thanks :) Saet |

Ah, thats what I thought...
So a ECU swap is out of the question... How about just the injectors, and amp up the fuel pressure? I've seen that some people have done this, how come they can? Older models? |

yours are topfeed injectors saet, and i doubt if they,re underfuelling at all, a decent inlet cam (1.3 at least) and the f/w would make a hell of a difference on yours

Ah, thanks!
So, if I get a inlet cam from a CG13DE it would make a huge difference on my close to standard CG10DE? That f/w mod, how do I do that? Just cut it in half like the picture and polish :)? |

it,ll only give you about a 5hp gain (a performance one would be better)
1.0 cam on the left, 1.3 is the 2nd one and you have to machine the f/w on a lathe (and coilpack ones are awkward to lighten safely) frank |

Okey, thanks.
I have a couple of CA18DET cams, are those far too large? Will the valves hit the pistons? If they do, I'll just get a CG13 :) The flywheel mod is something I'll have to do later on, as its a bit out of my price range at the moment.. Can the JUN flywheels be modded to fit? |

the CA cams will be too long saet and wont fit, and the JUN flywheels dont have the cranksensor ring/teeth on (that one cost £50)

Thanks, I'll go to the scrappers tomorrow :)
Is the CG13 cam a "plug and play" mod, meaning no need to adjust the ignition? |
