Factory Stereo Code

Hey every1 il be getting a new Head unit for my Micra soon. I realised that my factory one has a code protection system, would i be able install the new head unit? Or if any1 know the code that be great!!!

The code only relates to the factory-installed tuner. You can install an aftermarket headunit without a problem. If you can find one you might be able to simplify things further by purchasing a loom adaptor to go from your new headunit's plugs to the factory stereo loom. When I originally did my first install I soldered all the individual wires but it's not fun - much easier to use a loom adaptor if you can find one.

If you wanted the factory tuner working again I'm not sure if you'd need to go back to a dealer or not - the original owner might've written down the code in the manual or something so it's worth checking if you're locked out.
