alternator

current nissan micra and march alternator amp is 65A. recently i went to source for one that has a higher amp of 120A... its a GTO one.. only thing is i have to mod the mounting points

one question - will it disrupt any electrical equipments? is it better to have higher amp charging? any guys done this before> ?

unless you've got some crazy engine with massive compression or a turbo motor and also have a V8 supercar battery that really going to be over kill. in fact id go as far as saying it will overcharge everything as its geared to making a lot of power.

you'd be better off going for a replacement or if you want a bigger one something for a pulsar or corolla with a maximum of 85a, that way your charging the battery (even a big battery) and still have enough for the rest of the car.

i guess you are right mate.. it seems to over kill.. wasthinking may 80a would be good.. or like you said.. a bigger battery will do the trick.
