hi
i'm a proud owner of a 97 model micra lx coupe,k11 1.3ltr,was wondering if a bigger alternator off a later model nissan will fit mine,my original one is rated @ 30 - 70 amps, was after one that can pump out more amps,i will be getting a bigger battery, not sure how much amps i need exactly but i'm running 1 X 4ch running front & rears,1 X mono running 2 X 15'' subs and a 25 farad cap.i suppose maybe between 90 - 100 amps if i can get one. thank you |

Speak up with some capitals Fred, he can't hear you over the stereo ;)
Probably a good chance George, try one of the rewind places to see if they have specs for testing gear, and rewinding they should know what spec they need to match. Look for the Pulsars of the 90's, seems they have slightly larger brakes, engine, intake etc. etc. possibly alternator too. Even amongst the Micra, there may be different rated alternator for auto/manual, with/without aircon or p/steer or electric windows etc. I downloaded the italian K11 service manual that may list it, will check tonight. |
