Wheel centres DIY |

chances are you haven't had this issue but i've seen a few cars around with centre caps missing cause they don't fit
here is some food for thought... i've noticed on both my k10 and k11 micras that the grease caps on the end of the back wheels stick out a fair way causing issues if your mags have small caps on them i think i makes the wheels look pretty untidy with a cap hanging off the end so today went to do something about it bits needed: 65mm pvc pipe cost $2.50 silver spray paint mitre box for cutting pvc straight (or drop saw) glue a good attitude...? pictures tell a thousand words: http://members.iinet.net.au/~martinm/cars/k10/wheelcaps/DSC01156.jpg http://members.iinet.net.au/~martinm/cars/k10/wheelcaps/DSC01157.jpg http://members.iinet.net.au/~martinm/cars/k10/wheelcaps/DSC01158.jpg http://members.iinet.net.au/~martinm/cars/k10/wheelcaps/DSC01159.jpg http://members.iinet.net.au/~martinm/cars/k10/wheelcaps/DSC01160.jpg the pipe pressure fitted into the cap perfectly and a light tap with a mallet seated them, to be safe i used a bit of glue as i'd rather the hassle of getting the pipe off later than losing the caps altogether (PITA part to find later on) the actual silver cap part pressure fitted into the pipe nicely then i reinstalled the metal ring to hold them in |
