remove battery |

Hi guys,
I pretty new to the micra sceen but have some experience in audio. Just a quick Q. I have a K11 and some time ago my mechanic took the battery out of the car and replaced it with a new one. the only thing was that he had to re-enter a code into the engine to make it start up again correctly. I want to add an amp to the car but am afraid of connecting the power cable whilst the battery is still 'Live'. Can I remove the negative post of the battery without any problems?? Cheers Dan |

What model do you have?
Normally with the stock radio in a k11 with nats the code is sent from the ECU to the radio to turn it on. Perhaps k11 without nats would have a code for the radio. With my k11 (with NATS) the battery can be disconnected and reconnected without entering any codes etc. |

Hi cheers for the feedback. I have installed an aftermarket radio in the micra k11, the basic model from 98. I just don't want to have the hassle of bringin it to a mechanic. Would I need to get any codes? And if so where do you enter them?
