Datrats dies??

I can't beleive this! First everybody sells up there tough forced Micra's and now Datrats has ceased trading. I'm starting to think that this hasn't been the best year for the micra at all. It's a real shame,They supplied great parts for Datsuns,Micras and correct me if i'm wrong but i don't no of anywhere else in Australia that builds and supplies parts for these great little cars.

Errol is a legend. What a real shame for Nissan/Datsun fans in Oz.

The good news is that most of the guys he got his stuff made through are still operating and have all of the information stored so you can get what you need made up very easily.

Conrods: PAR engineering, melbourne?
Radiators: ?
Cams: ?
Flywheel: Racealloy, Melbourne? (aaron/evade has that information posted up I think)
Clutch: Excedy don't have anything listed down in their parts list but I'm sure if you called them and had a chat you might be able to rustle up the kit that errol designed.

I think you can email excedy and ask for the HD micra clutch? But its only avail from AUS I was told :-] HTH.

Errol has been very sick plus some other issues.

Very true Yom.Very few people can become corporate giants without such issues as family, health and overall being a nice person going down the gurgler.
Been there, done that and whats the use of making a pile when everything else falls apart.
A previous boss of mine when I swam around in that rarified air is now under investigation by the ACCC. Would have sold his mother to get higher up that corporate ladder.Still it was because of him that I took a long hard look at myself and walked away from all that garbage a few years ago.

Found this old link actually searching for Errol but maybe somebody may have also heard of a guy called Lou Mondello. In Moorabbin vic.
He also is supposed to specialise in hot Datto bits etc.

I need to locate him for a seperate reason so if anyone knows anything about him or how I might locate him it would be appreciated.

Datrats/Errol did start up again for a while back in 2008 I think it was, but the site appears to be gone for good now. What exactly are you after?

Information for a friend. They are thinking of buying a Datsun 1500 Roadster and this guy Lou Mondello apparently did most of the work on the car.
