Fuel Filler

Wed 02 Aug 2006 10:34:17 PM
Have key operated fuel filler door.
Wanted to know if there was a kit available to change to a cable setup.
If I have to chase one through wrecking yards what model car should I be looking for??

Thanks for any help

Hi Chookman,

The key operated fuel filler door was introduced with the Series 2 Micra. Series 2 cars started to be delivered in Australia some time during 1996 (sorry I don't know what month).

Any 1995 model will definately be a series 1 and will have the cable release fuel filler door mechanism.

You would probably be able to obtain all the parts from a Nissan dealer but I suspect this might be rather expensive.... so wreckers are probably your best bet ?.
