door trims diy???

Wed 12 Jul 2006 11:13:21 AM
yesterday went and got some quotes for gettting door trims done im gtir. and i was blown away at cost. for 2 colours quoted at roughly $350 each and if in leather about $500. to get seats retrimmed in leather about 1700 and in cloth about 1000.
i could buy new recaros for about that.

so does anyone have any tips for doing it yourself. any books or webpages which would provide information on how to do it??
i have a tiny bit of an idea how to go about it it just that the doors are moulded and need to glue and stretch the fabric to get it into shape. but any more info would be awesome

thanks.

Simple mate, Buy aftermaket seats that way you get to pick brand, style, and colour than just get your door inserts done, Thats what i'm planning on doing if i keep going nuts on my Micra. If you look around these days there is more seats than ever to choose from.
