sounds a bit rough with all the other noises going on in the engine bay..but you get the idea. the ticking you hear at low revs is my large-ish injectors.. |

and thats not blow-off valves sounds..i dont have a bov.
also mic was in the engine bay..hence lots of other various bad and interesting noises hanging about heh |

Wow great aaron. Stirs the juices no end.
No BOV valve means some flutter but nothing I have read indicates it is bad for the turbo at low boost levels. Hack no BOV either and sounds very similar but yours goes a bit harder. |

Thanks everyone..
Dave its the other way higher boost levels and no bov can be bad for the turbo but yeah..we're running relatively mild boost and should be fine. Plus we've both had it like that for ages with no problems :) |

Yeah I reckon your cars will go forever.
I noticed now (either from different turbo, or intercooler, or pipework - not sure) that my car makes a heaps better flutter type noise now. It sounds cool like yours. I never used to get that before. |

Yep intercooler pipework, diameter - basically whats between the turbo outlet to the throttle body all affects what it sounds like..
and i just found out that I have 260cc injectors! those red cap SR20 ones are ~260cc..not 370/375cc as we previously thought...the purple capped injectors are 370cc. would make sense to me i think.. OHH I hear the F1's in the background screaming around albert park..sounds so awesome |

no bov? is the noise from your wastegate coz if not thats bad for the turbo isnt it? it wears out the fins on the compressor wheel quicker and can sometimes even break them
