Repainting. |

I have a 'ocean blue' micra.
Is there any way of painting bits from other micras to match? Is there readily available paints? I assume they can't be brushed on, but require some form of spray system for the metallic layer? Thanks. |

I suggest you go to a reputable spray painter/panel beater as they have the ability to match the paint, even to the point where they will blend your new parts in with the existing paint and they can allow for any fade. If you were to buy "ready made" paint in a spray can, it is unlikely that you would get an exact match. I know that in Australia the Nissan Micra colours are not available in spray cans, I used to work in a motor accessories shop, we only carried the common makes colours.

I wasn't assuming it would be available in a can - more assuming that I'd have to use a spray gun of some form - I'm contemplating buying a cheap HVLP gun for other reasons.

hey another ocean blue micra, or pacific blue depending on where you go. quite a rare color. i have sprayed some parts myself and it looks quite good. its expensive as the paint is pearlescent but you can buy it here in the uk. if not go to nissan and im sure they will get some for you.
