Easy swap once you remove the roof lining, presuming they are both superS's :)

u pull windscreen out and then cut whole roof out, weld superS roof in, u also have to make holes with threads in the side panels(LX an superS bodys hav subtle differences) to bolt it in. My panelbeater wanted to do mine when I painted my car but I pulled him up because of the time limits we had

Keen indeed I know... Was just throwing the question out there to see my options... More drama than its worth I think... Logical thing to do is sell the wind back I think...

Get someone pro to do it for you, it's a tricky job.

They're too busy telling me nah can't be done, but hey we'll sell you one of our brand name sunroofs and we can install that... Tossers... I don't get it what's the difference whether I buy theirs or supply them with my own one either way they have to cut into the roof... Just trying to get money out of me I guess... " Well having just had my car out of a Nissan dealership having a rollcage put in, (which resulted in the sunroof being removed), one of the first things they offered me to do while it was in the shop, was to remove the old sunroof panel and weld in a solid one in it's place. It is possible, but I suspect what you will find it people are unwilling to do it, so give you a stupid answer rather than saying 'sorry, we can't be bothered' or 'we don't have the skills to do it'. FYI, I was quoted $1200 including new roof panel and paint. |
